For your viewing pleasure today, following our Thanksgiving Holiday, I’d like to share another set of images from our November 20, 2021, walk along the South Fork Trail in Gaston County, NC:
Five “Riverscapes” of the South Fork of the Catawba River; Canada Geese; Red-bellied Woodpecker; Northern Cardinal; and a White-tailed Buck.
Enjoy!

South Fork Trail and Blueway Access:
On the morning of November 20, 2021, I visited the South Fork Trail for the first time, in the company of a small group from the Mecklenburg Audubon Society.
This scenic trail, part of the North Carolina Thread Trail, runs along the South Fork of the Catawba River in Gaston County.
It was yet another beautiful, crisp and sunny late Fall morning!
Here are several of my favorite images from this fun outing:
Four photos of a raft of Mallard Hybrids; two shots of a Downy Woodpecker; Golden-crowned Kinglet; Ruby-crowned Kinglet; White throated Sparrow; and a Juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker.
Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Stay safe, and have a great day!
