Cataloochee Valley Wide Angle:
For a little change of pace, as we head into the weekend, I would like to share several non-wildlife wide angle images from my September 13, 2021, visit to the Cataloochee Valley:
Cataloochee Valley Dawn; two photos of Caldwell Place (Built in 1903); Caldwell Place Barn; two shots along the Rough Fork Trail; lost hunting dog which I “rescued” on the Rough Fork Trail; Woody House (Located along the Rough Fork Trail, & renovated between 1900 and 1910.); another barn; and Palmer Chapel.

September 25, 2021:
Cataloochee Valley Elk:
On September 13, 2021, for the first time I visited the Cataloochee Valley, located at the eastern tip of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, about 170 miles from our home.
I went to observe and photograph the resident Elk herd, during the current the Fall rutting season.
It was quite a long day, but well worth the effort!
I had a great time, and returned with hundreds of images, which I am in the midst of reviewing, at present!
Today, I’d like to share an initial set of photographs of three Bull Elk, which I encountered during my visit.
