Hopefully, to brighten up your day a little, I would like to share a few more favorite images from my productive November 9th visit to the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge:
Blue Jay; Northern Mockingbird; Great Blue Heron; Song Sparrow; Red-bellied Woodpecker; two photographs of a Swamp Sparrow; two images of Red-headed Woodpeckers; and an Eastern Phoebe.

The Superpower Of Flight:
Most birds possess the awesome superpower of flight.
I enjoy trying to capture compelling images of birds in flight. It is often a challenge, and on some days I am more successful than on others.
During my November 9th visit to the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge, I was lucky enough to create numerous satisfying photographs of several different avian species in flight.
Today, I would like to share a sample of these images:
Five photographs of Red-headed Woodpeckers; two images of Canada Geese; a Common Grackle; and two photographs of a Northern Mockingbird.
