Four Mile Creek Greenway:
The Mecklenburg Audubon Society walk at our local Four Mile Creek Greenway, on the morning of November 30, 2021, was quite “birdy!”
We encountered 39 different avian species!
My favorite photographic subjects were four Golden-crowned Kinglets, two of which were oblivious to us, as they chased each other quite close by.
These two agitated adult males displayed the most prominent and brightest orange-yellow crests that I have seen in this species!
So, today I’d like to share several images of the four Golden-crowned Kinglets which we observed, featuring the duelling stars of the show.
Enjoy!
Stay safe, and have a great day!
