McAlpine Creek Park

December 28, 2020:

Surprise Showstopper:

When I head out with my camera, I usually don’t know what I will come across. That’s part of the fun!

It certainly was the case today, when I again visited McAlpine Creek Park.

Much to my surprise, the star of today’s show ended up being a Turkey Vulture, which I discovered perched on a branch overhanging McAlpine Creek, warming itself, preening, and resting in the late morning sun.

We had an enjoyable, hour-long encounter, before the Vulture flew off!

For your viewing pleasure, I’d like to share several of my favorite images of this photogenic Turkey Vulture.

Enjoy!

Stay safe and have a great day!
