April 19, 2024:
McAlpine Creek Park:
Yesterday morning, April 18, 2024, I went birding with a friendly small group from the Mecklenburg Audubon Society at one of my favorite local spots, McAlpine Creek Park.
Once again, the weather was beautiful, and we had a fun and productive walk!

Mama Red-shouldered Hawk on her nest, feeding offspring; Eastern Bluebird breakfasting; Northern Cardinal; Mama Mallard with ducklings; Red-eyed Vireo; Solitary Sandpiper; White-throated Sparrow; Mourning Dove; Wood Duck drake; and a Canada Goose with Goslings.
