Abersham Park:

This past Tuesday morning, October 12, 2021, I joined a small group from the Mecklenburg Audubon Society, for my first visit to Abersham Park, located in nearby Davidson, NC.

It was a beautiful Fall morning, perfect for visiting this attractive park!

We encountered 34 bird species, and had quite an enjoyable time!

Here are a few of my favorite images from this outing:Two photos of American Goldfinches; two shots of a Turkey Vulture sunning itself on a powerline tower; Northern Cardinal; a pair of Eastern Bluebirds inspecting a potential home; two images of a Red-bellied Woodpecker; Northern Mockingbird; and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

Enjoy!

Stay safe, and have a great day!
