June 15, 2021:
The Star Of The Show:
I encountered two Green Herons at McAlpine Creek Park’s “Beaver Pond” during my April 26th visit.
One of the Herons was not at all interested in having its picture taken!
By contrast, the second Green Heron didn’t appear to mind being photographed, and allowed me to approach fairly close as it hunted, and occasionally preened, along the edge of the pond.
This Heron was unequivocally the avian “Star of the Show” that day!
Today, I’d like to share several representative images of this cooperative and photogenic bird.

A Little Step Back In Time:
I am finally reviewing images from a visit which I made to our local McAlpine Creek Park on the morning of April 26th.
Today, I’d like to share an initial set of photographs from this outing:
Canada Goose in flight; four shots of Wood Ducks; Spotted Sandpiper; two images of Mallards; Northern Cardinal; and a pair of Blue-winged Teals.
