The PGA Returns To Charlotte!
I enjoyed a beautiful Spring day at the PGA Wells Fargo Championship golf tournament, featuring many of the world’s top golfers.
I am not a golfer myself. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed attending this event, which takes place at The Quail Hollow Club, for the past 15 years or so.
Lucky for me, it is only a twenty minute walk from my home!
I did sneak in a little birding while at the golf course today , spotting a Red-tailed Hawk; a Turkey Vulture; a Great Blue Heron; several Mallards and Canada Geese; and a few Swallows.
I plan to attend the golf tournament through the weekend, and the weather is supposed to remain great!
On an unrelated note, today I would like to share several additional images from my April 15th visit to McAlpine Creek Park:
Three shots of a Broad-winged Hawk; Carolina Chickadee; Field Sparrow: two photos of Wood Ducks; and a Carolina Wren.
Enjoy!
Stay safe and have a great day!

More From McAlpine Creek Park:
This morning, I joined a small group of birders from the Mecklenburg Audubon Society (MAS), for a fun outing at McDowell Prairie!
Thanks to the excellent birding skills of several members of the group, we had a very productive morning, encountering over 50 different avian species
!I haven’t had a chance to review my images from today yet, but I plan to post a few favorites in the near future.
In the meantime, today I would like to share an initial set of images from an April 15th visit to McAlpine Creek Park, with another MAS group:
Three photographs of Mallards; two shots of a Red-bellied Woodpecker; two images of Eastern Bluebirds; and a Red-shouldered Hawk.
Enjoy!
Stay safe and have a great day!
