Great Blue Heron Extravaganza!

The undisputed stars of the show during my March 22nd visit to McAlpine Creek Park were the half dozen or so, generally quite active, Great Blue Herons which I encountered!

For your viewing pleasure today, here are several of my favorite shots of these impressive birds from this outing.

Enjoy!

Stay safe and have a great day!

Wood Duck Reprise:

Yesterday, I spent an enjoyable long day by the Catawba River at Riverbend Park, mainly observing and photographing Ospreys and Bald Eagles.

Some images from this visit will follow in the near future, once I have had a chance to review them.

When I arrived home, I was too tired to make a post. My bad!

In any case, today I would like to share several photos from my March 22nd visit to our local McAlpine Creek Park, featuring an attractive pair of Wood Ducks at the Park’s Beaver Pond:

Seven images of the Wood Ducks; two shots of a Carolina Chickadee; and a Mallard in flight.

Enjoy!

Stay safe and have a great day!
