The Barred Owls Are Around!

Recently, I have occasionally been hearing and/or seeing Barred Owls in our yard or nearby.

On February 20th, I did a little backyard birding, and found one of the Barred Owls resting!

I am hoping that they nest in our owl box once again this year, as they have two of the last three years.

We’ll see!

For your viewing pleasure today, here are several images of this Barred Owl, as well as a few other birds which I photographed that day:

Five photographs of the Barred Owl; two shots of Mourning Doves; Pine Siskin; Hermit Thrush; and a Brown-headed Nuthatch.

Enjoy!
