Here Comes The Sun:

Today, the Sun finally returned here in Charlotte, NC!

I took advantage of the nice weather to go birding with my camera at our local McAlpine Creek Park.

It was great to get out of the house, and was an enjoyable and productive morning!

I plan to post some images from this outing within the next few days.

In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure today, here are additional photographs from my January 24th Backyard Birding:

Three images of Brown-headed Nuthatches; two photos of a Yellow-rumped Warbler; two images of Red-bellied Woodpeckers; two photographs of Eastern Bluebirds; and a Carolina Wren.

A Little Backyard Birding:

Here in Charlotte, NC, we have not seen the Sun for three days.

However, it is supposed to be sunny tomorrow.

Last Sunday, January 24th, was a mostly sunny day. I took advantage of the nice weather, and did a little backyard birding.

In about 1 1/2 hours, I observed 20 different avian species, and photographed most of them.

Not bad for a short time in the backyard!

Today, I would like to share an initial set of images from this brief outing:

Carolina Chickadee; Downy Woodpecker; Downy Woodpecker and Pine Siskin; two photographs of Tufted Titmice; American Goldfinch; three shots of a White-throated Sparrow; and a Common Grackle.

Stay safe and have a great day!
